(1)腐蚀。根据实验,不管是新的还是旧的自动喷水灭火设备,造成其受损的常见原因是腐蚀。接触盐或其它腐蚀性的物质都会加大喷头受损的风险。当腐蚀细菌长时间积留起来,会导致针孔般细小的泄漏,加速之前发生的腐蚀并使得管道内部变得凹凸不平。这种称之为水管积垢的过程会引起管道内部的水流不畅,致使自动喷水灭火系统的效果降低。如果系统未经适当维护,管道内堆积起来的锈迹和残留物可能会阻碍管道或喷头或两者内水的流动,使其灭火效用大幅降低。
(1) Corrosion. According to experiments, the common cause of damage to both new and old automatic sprinkler systems is corrosion. Exposure to salt or other corrosive substances can increase the risk of nozzle damage.
