The reliability of gas fire extinguishing systems depends not only on the extinguishing agent itself, but also on its rigorous control logic and safety protection design. According to fire safety regulations, pipeline gas fire extinguishing systems must have three start-up modes: automatic control, manual control, and mechanical emergency operation to ensure successful fire extinguishing in extreme situations. In automatic mode, the system must receive two independent fire signals simultaneously (such as smoke and temperature detectors sounding simultaneously) to trigger, greatly reducing the risk of accidental spraying caused by single detector failure or environmental interference.

In order to ensure the safety of personnel, the gas fire extinguishing system is equipped with strict safety mechanisms for control. For protective areas with fire extinguishing concentrations greater than non-toxic reaction concentrations, manual and automatic switching devices must be installed. When personnel enter the protected area, the system should be switched to manual mode to prevent accidental spraying; Resume automatic mode after personnel have left. In addition, after receiving a fire signal, the system usually sets a controllable delay injection time of no more than 30 seconds and triggers sound and light alarms in conjunction to provide sufficient safe evacuation time for personnel.
In terms of physical protection, gas fire extinguishing systems require the protected area to have good sealing and overpressure resistance. The door must open towards the evacuation direction and be able to open from the inside to prevent the loss of fire extinguishing agents and ensure smooth escape routes. Due to the possibility of residual harmful gases or oxygen deficiency in the protected area after fire extinguishing, mechanical exhaust devices must be installed in underground or windowless protected areas, and the exhaust outlet should be located at the lower part of the protected area to ensure rapid ventilation and air exchange after fire extinguishing, ensuring the safety of subsequent personnel entering.
